ABU MANSUR BUKHARA DOCTOR OF THE SAMONIAN AGREEMENT

The period of the Samanid state in the IX-X centuries was a period of prosperity of Tajik science and culture. At that time, along with scientists and poets, local doctors also entered the field of science. One of the most famous physicians of this time was Abu Mansur of Bukhara. In our article we decided to give a brief overview of the life and work of this famous physician.

The real name of this eminent scientist and physician was Abu Mansur Hasan ibn Nuhi Kamari, who was also known as Abu Mansur of Bukhara. Although there is no detailed information about his life, he is considered in science as a contemporary of Zakariyya al-Razi and the teacher of Abu Ali ibn Sina. It follows that if these two world-famous personalities and great physicians of the Samanid period were his successors, it is clear that the role of this scientist and doctor in the field of science and culture of the Tajiks in the IX-X centuries was also worthy. According to historians, the fame of Abu Mansur Bukhara's physician was so high that the Emir of Somoni Mansur (961-976) declared him his personal physician. The book "Muolijoti Mansuri" was dedicated to this Emir of Somoni. It is possible that Zakariyya al-Razi, following this valuable work, created the book "Tibbi Mansuri" and presented it to the mayor of Ray Abu Saleh Mansur ibn Ishaq. The third article of this work is devoted to the treatment of malaria. The doctor, based on his research, proposed a simple method of herbal medicine, which is now widely used by traditional healers in the treatment of herbal medicine. For example, Abu Mansur of Bukhara in his works recommended simple herbal remedies for the treatment of heart diseases, such as mountain black currant, phalanx, cow dung, ginger, sugarcane and raw silk. As the author's works are of great scientific importance and should be a textbook for modern doctors and can be used as a guide.
