The employees are actively engaged in scientific work. The scientific direction of the department is "The study of traumatological and orthopedic pathology using the methods of bone and cell technology." Over the past 5 years, the manual "Organization of medical care, diagnosis and treatment of the acute period of combined and multiple trauma" (A.A. Razzokov with co-authors), a monograph - "Improving the organization of medical care and methods of bone grafting" (A.A. Razzokov with co-authors), “Improving the organization of medical care and treatment tactics for congenital hip dislocation” (A.A. Razzokov et al.), “Improving the organization of medical care, diagnosis and treatment of fat embolism syndrome in concomitant and multiple trauma (A.A. Razzokov et al. ), “Permuscular and supramuscular fractures of the humerus in children” (DM Safarov). During this period 3 doctoral dissertations (A.Ch. Chobulov, N.F.Salimov, J.M.Safarov) and 14 candidate dissertations were defended. The staff of the department S.Kh.Kurbanov and I.A.Yunusov in St. Petersburg successfully defended their doctoral dissertations and are currently working as professors at the department. The degree of degree of the teaching staff of the department is 33.3%. The staff of the department made a huge contribution to the development of dentistry in Tajikistan, over the past 5 years, 98 scientific articles, 53 theses, 2 inventions, 2 rationalization proposals have been published.
