Base of the department.

The clinical bases of the department are located in the traumatology and orthopedic departments of the National Medical Center "Shifobakhsh", the Medical Center "Istiklol" and "Madadi Akbar". Every year from 3 to 5 thousand patients with injuries and diseases of the musculoskeletal system turn to us. The clinic's surgical activity ranged from 47.3% to 62.5%. In specialized departments of the clinic, modern methods of diagnosis and treatment of traumatological and orthopedic patients are used, compression-distraction osteosynthesis, lavsanoplasty, operations on the spine and large joints, muscles and tendons for congenital and acquired deformities of the limbs, false joints and bone defects, bone grafting, endoprosthetics of large joints and others. An important place in the activities of the department staff is occupied by the development of modern methods of diagnosis, prevention and treatment, which are being introduced into the work of specialized traumatology and orthopedic departments of cities and regions of the republic. So, from 1970 to the present, more than 500 modern methods of diagnostics and treatment of injuries and diseases of the musculoskeletal system have been introduced.
