History of the department

Department of preventive dentistry was opened in 1979 and the first head of this department was doctor of medical sciences, professor Kurban Pashayevich Pashayev.

After returning professor Pashayev K.P. home (Republic Turkmenistan) since 1990 the candidate of medical sciences, associate professor Fayziyev I. (1990-1995), doctor of medical sciences, professor Ashurov G. G. (1996-1997), (2005-2011), candidate of medical sciences, associate professor Irmukhamedova I.H. (1997-2005) and doctor of medical sciences Dzhurayeva of Sh.F (2011-1015) were the head of the department. In 2015 the candidate of medical sciences, associate professor Tokhtakhodzhayeva S.T. was appointed as the head of preventive dentistry department.

Cooperation of department (internal and international).

The staff of the department actively cooperates with scientific and clinical institute of stomatology and maxillofacial surgery (Dushanbe), with therapeutic and orthopedic stomatology departments of Institute of postdegree education in health sector of the RT and also with maxillofacial surgery clinic and department of therapeutic stomatology of medical faculty of the University of Goethe of Frankfort on the Main, SBEI HE the Ivanovo state medical academy of the Russian Ministry of Health.
