Scientific activity

Since the foundation of the department, its employees have been actively involved in various aspects of medical science. In the first years, scientific problems were devoted to the study of blood diseases, connective tissue diseases, spa treatment of diseases of the musculoskeletal system, and problems of the highlands. Since 1975, under the leadership of Professor Khamidov N.Kh. The department is conducting research on the study of cardiovascular disease in older people. For this purpose, a modern biochemical laboratory was formed at the department, where research was carried out to carry out the planned candidate and doctoral dissertations. Over the years, members of the department under the leadership of Professor Khamidov N.Kh. 3 doctoral and 20 master's theses were defended, mainly devoted to arterial hypertension and coronary heart disease in older age groups.
The research activities of the department staff can be divided into several stages. At the first, Professor Khamidov N.Kh. and academician Tsfasman A.Z. for the first time in the USSR, studies were conducted devoted to the study of the etiology, pathogenesis, pathological anatomy, clinical course and treatment of arterial hypertension in people of older age groups. Based on the results of these studies, they proposed a classification of systolic hypertension, which is used today in the clinical practice of many countries of the former Soviet Union. Khamidov N.Kh. in 1973 he defended his thesis for the degree of Doctor of Medical Sciences on the topic: "Systolic hypertension in the elderly and senile." Subsequently, under the leadership of Professor Khamidov N.Kh. A number of scientific studies devoted to this problem have been carried out. These works were framed in the form of dissertations for the degree of candidate of medical sciences. Sharipova H.E. on the topic: “Clinical and biochemical manifestations of atherosclerosis in sclerotic systolic hypertension” (1981), Suleimanova SA (1987): “Features of the clinical and biochemical manifestations of coronary and cerebral atherosclerosis in people who have had a closed craniocerebral trauma in the distant period” (1987), Khamdamova M.B. “Coagulation, fibrinolytic blood systems and lipid metabolism in patients with older coronary heart disease with normal and high blood pressure” (1988), A. Umarov: “Hemodynamics in older arterial hypertension and its changes under the influence of obzidana” (1988) , Arustamyan GS: “Daily and annual dynamics of lipids in older systolic hypertension” (1990), Dodobaeva MS: “The state of coagulation, fibrinolytic systems and microcirculation in patients with older coronary heart disease different seasons of the year ”(1990), Khoshimova K.Sh. : “Clinical and functional characteristics of hypertensive crises in the elderly” (1991) NM Khursanov : “Combined therapy of older arterial hypertension with α and β-blockers” (1993); Aminjanova SS: “The effect of antihypertensive therapy on blood lipids and renal excretory function in isolated systolic hypertension” (2014).
At the next stage, research at the department was devoted to the study of the clinical course and treatment of arterial hypertension in older people with comorbid diseases and conditions. It has been established that with gout there is a high frequency of cardiovascular disorders such as arterial hypertension and coronary heart disease. It is shown that with a combination of gout and cardiovascular disorders, the risk factors for the development of cardiovascular complications significantly increase. Based on the results of the study, Kh. K. Toirov (2013) successfully defended a dissertation for the degree of candidate of medical sciences on the topic: “Cardiovascular disorders in gout.”
Subsequently, the department conducted research on the effect of comorbid anxiety-depressive disorders on heart rate variability in elderly patients with arterial hypertension and chronic heart failure. The results were reflected in successfully defended dissertations for the degree of candidate of medical sciences. Sharipova N.J.: “Heart rate variability and the duration of the QT interval in elderly patients with chronic heart failure with depression” (2015) and Umarova S.A .: “Features of clinical and hemodynamic manifestations and heart rhythm variability in isolated systolic hypertension with affective disorders ”(2015). The study of comorbid affective disorders and methods for its correction in patients with arterial hypertension is devoted to two other dissertations for the degree of candidate of medical sciences, which successfully passed the initial examination at the inter-department problem committee for therapeutic disciplines and were recommended for defense. This is the work of Halikova N.A. on the topic: “The effect of combination therapy on remodeling of the left ventricle of the heart in elderly patients with arterial hypertension” and Makhadova K.Kh. “The effect of combination therapy on circadian fluctuations in blood pressure and the Q-T interval in elderly hypertensive patients with comorbid depression” In 2017, the Higher Attestation Commission of the Russian Federation successfully defended and subsequently approved the dissertation for the degree of candidate of medical sciences, assistant to the department of Voronetskaya K.R. on the topic: “The dynamics of heart rate variability and the duration of the Q-T interval in patients with HIV-infection during antiretroviral therapy.
Currently, the topic of the research work of the department is the use of the pineal gland hormone-melatonin in the complex treatment of patients with older systolic hypertension. On this topic, 3 dissertations are planned for the degree of candidate of medical sciences. Saidmuradova F.L. on the topic: “The effect of melatonin on the quality of life and blood lipids in elderly patients with isolated systolic hypertension”; Tajieva Z.A. “The effect of melatonin on endothelial dysfunction in patients with isolated systolic hypertension”; and Lolaeva AN "The effect of melatonin on the cognitive functions of patients with isolated systolic hypertension."
Over the past 30 years, the department’s staff has published 8 monographs, proposed more than 30 rationalization proposals, and published more than 500 publications. Employees of the department constantly participate in annual scientific and practical conferences held both at the Tajik State Medical University named after Abuali Ibni Sino and beyond. The reports presented in them are repeatedly awarded prizes. For many years, the department has a student scientific society, whose members actively participate in annual scientific conferences of young scientists and students of our university and abroad.
Currently, the department employs: member correspondent. RT Academy of Sciences, doctor of medical sciences, professor Khamidov N.Kh., head of the department MD, Khursanov N.M., associate professor Umarov A.A., candidates of medical sciences: Sohibov R.G., Umarova S.A. ., Voronetskaya K.R. Kayumov Kh.B., assistants: Khudoyorzoda K.Kh .., Saidmurodova F.L., Zamonov O.A., Tajieva Z.A., Abdumamadova F.A.
