According to the activity plan of the department for educational work and in connection with the celebration of Mavlono Jaloliddin Balkhi Day (September 30) at the Department of Foreign Languages ​ of SEI "Avicenna TSMU " from September 28 to October 1, 2020, a week of student conferences was held on the topic "The role of spiritual and moral education in forming the image of an ideal doctor on the example of the activities of a famous thinker - a classic of Tajik literature Jaloliddin Balhi (Rumi).

Jaloliddin Balkhi (Rumi) is one of the prominent representatives of Tajik-Persian literature - a classic, a great poet who set life successes depending on harmonious education.

Today, the poetic heritage of the classic Jaloliddin Balkhi (Rumi) is more relevant and in demand than ever, since his works have deep scientific, philosophical and strictly justified logical goals aimed at educating highly moral human qualities based on ancient culture, moral values ​ ​ derived from folk wisdom.

The conference was attended by students of the 1st and 2nd courses of all faculties of the university, who delivered reports, advertised Rumi's poems, and debated with great enthusiasm about the role of education based on the moral values ​of the past in today's society.

Before the start of each conference, Professor W.R. Yuldoshev, Head of the Department of Foreign Languages, spoke to the participants in his welcoming speech.

In Foreign language classes, issues of student education occupy an important place, which is reflected in the choice of issues of speech topics in the nature of study work. The programme of each conference included 5 to 6 reports. Reports prepared by students under the guidance of leading teachers were the result of the educational and practical activities of students, their knowledge of the great classics of Tajik-Persian literature Jaloliddin Balkhi (Rumi).

At the department it became a tradition to hold such student conferences. Teachers invest a lot of effort in preparing participants and conducting the event, but this work is justified, as it determines another advance in terms of the successful development of the spiritual and moral personality of the future doctor.

The present and participants listened with great interest to all reports on the life and work of Jaloliddin Balkhi, his poems, parables, sayings, which pay special attention to the issues of science and science, patriotism, hard work, humanism, honesty and decency and other components of the positive qualities inherent in man.

Students actively participated in the conference, asked questions, which was evidence that their reports and speeches turned out to be informative and useful. Today, not one century later, the works of Jaloliddin Balkhi (Rumi), his rich heritage are relevant, and therefore in demand.
