YOUTH DAY
The open classes on the theme: “The youth day” was conducted at the department of propaedeutics of children’s diseases of SEI “Avicenna Tajik State Medical University” from 06.05.2023 till 11.06.2023, under the guidance of senior teachers Khojaeva O.T., Boboeva H.A. and assistant of department on educational work Ashurova N.P. with participation of staff of department and students of 3rd year -1, 2, 6 groups of pediatric faculty and groups 36, 5, 57 of medical faculty. Students of these groups prepared sketches, verses, songs and presentations.
In Tajikistan every year on May 23rd is celebrated the Day of youth. This holiday was established in 1997 by the decision of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon. The date of the holiday was chosen in honor of the anniversary of the founding of the Committee for Youth, Sports and Tourism under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan.
According to statistical analysis, 33.2% of the population is between the ages of 14 and 30, and the average age of the population in the country is 25. Over the past 20 years, the number of young people has increased by 33%, with an average annual increase of 1.9%. Young people are the future of any country. It is very important to convey to the Tajik youth that it is they who are responsible for the future of the Tajik people and state. The joint efforts of young people must help expand and develop national consciousness and patriotism and strengthen national unity. Young people are the backbone and future of our country. What is the role of youth in modern society? First and foremost, the main task of the younger generation is to become worthy citizens of the country in which they were born. A person, who has entered the path of adulthood, is always faced with the issue of self-determination. He tries to find himself and his path. From this, over time, he understands what role he will play in society. Everyone should aim to improve their country and help people. This is what will help make the state stronger and better. The social role of youth in today's society is to develop and change established standards. The main task of young people is to keep such universal values as "humanity, politeness, diligence, honesty and kindness.
May 23 is included in the calendar of holidays as Youth Day, the Ismoili Somoni Award for young scientists in the field of science and technology was established, presidential scholarships for students of general education, primary and secondary vocational schools were established, the Durakhshandagon International Scholarship for Tajik students studying abroad was established. Every year, various events supported by the Youth Committee take place within the framework of the Youth Day. These events include sports competitions, contests, cultural events and creative evenings. Every year the Founder of Peace and National Unity - the Leader of the Nation, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, the respected Emomali Rahmon congratulates the youth of the republic on their holiday. The congratulatory message reads in part:
"With the implementation of our strategic national goals, the sustainable development of the country will be ensured and all necessary conditions will be created for a decent life of each citizen of the country, first of all for teenagers and young people."
