WOMEN AND THE PROTECTION OF GLACIERS
On May 29, 2025 an international forum on the role of women in the protection of glaciers was held at the initiative of the Committee on Women and Family Affairs under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, in which representatives of the university, led by the Vice-Rector for Educational Affairs, Zarina Asror Ahroriyon, actively participated.
It should be noted that raising awareness and knowledge about climate change and its impact on glaciers among women—especially in secondary schools, universities, and community centers—is an important way to enhance their contribution to environmental protection.
In addition, involving women in decision-making processes in the areas of water, environment, and climate programs contributes to strengthening gender equality and effectively addressing environmental issues.
