The issues of developing and signing a Memorandum of Understanding between the Environmental Protection Committee under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change of Qatar were discussed at the meeting of the Chairman of the Environmental Protection Committee under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan Bahodur Sheralizod and the Minister of Environment and Climate of Qatar Dr. Faleh Nosir Al Thani, which took place within the framework of the 26th Conference of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change in Glasgow.

From the Committee on Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, AMIT "Khovar" reported that respondents, while considering issues of expanding cooperation between environmental protection agencies of the two states, paid attention to the initiative of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, dear Emomali Rahmon, to declare the International Year of Glacier Protection 2025, and this step was positively evaluated by the State of Qatar.

Issues of expansion and development of cooperation between Tajikistan and Qatar in the field of ecological tourism were also discussed at the meeting.
