THE DEPARTMENT OF PHTHISIOPULMONOLOGY AT ATSMU DEVELOPS A MENTORSHIP SYSTEM FOR EARLY-CAREER FACULTY
Within the framework of a mentorship initiative aimed at the professional development of early-career teaching staff and the enhancement of the quality of educational and research activities, senior assistants of the Department of Phthisiopulmonology at the State Educational Institution “Avicenna Tajik State Medical University” have organized a series of seminars for junior colleagues.
At the initiative of the Head of the Department, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Oktam Ikromovich Bobokhodjaev, special emphasis is placed on strengthening practical teaching competencies through the use of interactive learning strategies designed to actively engage learners and foster the development of clinical thinking.
The mentorship program also extends to the research domain. Since the beginning of the academic year, Zulfiya Khaibulloevna Tilloeva, MD, PhD (Candidate of Medical Sciences), Assistant Professor, has conducted a series of seminars for faculty members focusing on the selection and implementation of sample size calculation methodologies, the use of the OPEN MRS electronic medical database in research activities, and the application of Epi Info™ version 7.2 for statistical data processing and analysis.
The implementation of this program aims to strengthen the Department’s human capital, enhance the research capacity of early-career specialists, and foster a supportive environment for knowledge transfer. Ultimately, these efforts contribute to improving the training of future professionals in tuberculosis and pulmonology.
The Department of Phthisiopulmonology continues to systematically integrate modern educational and research paradigms in alignment with the strategic priorities for the development of medical education and scientific research in the Republic of Tajikistan.
