THE CONSTITUTION IS THE MAIN DOCUMENT OF PROSPERITY AND CREATION OF THE STATE
On November 5 - 2024, a mini-conference was held at the Department of Foreign Languages of SEI ATSMU under the guidance of teachers Makhmudova S.S., Mirzoeva G.Kh., Karimova M.D. with the participation of department staff and students 2,19,29, groups of the 2nd year of the medical faculty.
It was made by the senior teacher of the department - M. Karimova and noted that in our beloved country on November 6, 2024, one of the main public holidays of the Republic of Tajikistan is celebrated - the 30th anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution. The Constitution is the most important document and reliable foundation in the life of any state. The adoption of the constitution is an important step for the country and a guarantee of the harmonious development of the state. Tajikistan does not stand still and has achieved progressive results in 30 years of sovereign development.
The Constitution of the Republic of Tajikistan is the basic law of the country, which consists of 10 chapters and 100 articles. The founder of peace and national unity - Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, respected Emomali Rahmon in his Address on the occasion of Constitution Day noted that the adoption of this fateful document opened a new historical stage in the development of modern Tajikistan and led to fundamental changes in the political life of society.
"It is thanks to the Constitution that the foundations of the state, the country's legal system, the rule of law and the rule of law have been strengthened, and our state has confidently embarked on the path of sustainable development."
The adoption of the Constitution is the most valuable achievement of the Tajik people and the logical result of the efforts of a just society striving for a new stage of development. The Constitution of the Republic of Tajikistan in the current history of the country is a truly fateful document of the nation and has strengthened state independence at the level of the basic law.
The Constitution, as the main and most important document of the state and society, creates a solid legal basis and guarantees the creation of a sovereign, legal, democratic, secular and united state. It contributes to the construction of civil society, the development of new economic relations, the normal activities of government structures, and also ensures the rule of law and law and order.
On November 6, 1994 the Constitution of the Republic of Tajikistan was adopted by a national referendum, which played an enormous role in the establishment of an independent democratic Tajikistan and ensuring peace on the Tajik land. In honour of this event a state holiday was established in the country - Constitution Day of the Republic of Tajikistan, which was officially included in the list of state holidays of Tajikistan in 1998. The Constitution in Tajikistan is the fundamental document that defines the basis of the state structure, the order of formation and functioning of the main state bodies of legislative, executive and judicial power, local self-government bodies, the order of election, as well as the powers of the head of state, fundamental rights, freedoms and duties of citizens, the order of amendments to the Constitution and the possibility of its revision.
