In 2026, the Republic of Tajikistan proudly celebrates the 35th anniversary of its State Independence. This important national milestone commemorates the country’s declaration of independence in 1991 and represents thirty-five years of state-building, national development, cultural revival, and progress. State Independence is one of the greatest achievements in the modern history of the Tajik people. It has given the nation the opportunity to determine its own future, strengthen its sovereignty, preserve its national identity, and develop its political, economic, social, and cultural institutions. Over the years of independence, Tajikistan has made significant progress in many areas. The country has strengthened the foundations of its statehood and developed its national legislation and institutions. Considerable efforts have also been directed toward the development of infrastructure, including roads, tunnels, energy facilities, schools, hospitals, and other important social and economic projects. The anniversary is also an occasion to recognize the importance of peace, stability, and national unity. These values are essential for the successful development of the country and for ensuring a peaceful and prosperous future for the younger generation. The 35th anniversary of independence is celebrated through various cultural, educational, scientific, and public events throughout the country. The celebrations bring together people of different generations and highlight the achievements of Tajikistan during the years of independence. Official events dedicated to this anniversary emphasize the importance of national sovereignty, unity, sustainable development, and the preservation of cultural values. The official symbol of the 35th anniversary reflects important elements of Tajikistan’s national identity and development. It includes references to the country’s natural beauty, mountains, water resources, infrastructure, and the Independence Complex, symbolizing freedom, statehood, progress, and a bright future. Today, the Republic of Tajikistan looks toward the future with hope and confidence. The younger generation has a particularly important role in continuing the country’s development, preserving peace and national unity, gaining knowledge, and contributing to the prosperity of the Motherland. May the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan remain strong and eternal!
