Terrorism poses a threat comparable in severity to that of nuclear weapon
Attaining national independence and statehood, and upholding and safeguarding the most sacred values of these concepts, is both a duty and a responsibility. It also embodies the honor of patriotism, pride in one's state and nation, and the commitment of every conscientious individual to self-awareness, enlightenment, and the promotion of a high national culture. It is crucial to recognize that the roles of culture and the education of the younger generation are fundamental in reinforcing patriotism, national consciousness, respect for ancestral history, and the prevention of social conflicts.
It is no coincidence that self-serving entities, at the outset of their biased activities, initially diminish and paralyze cultural and spiritual (moral and religious) values. They then foster a climate of distrust and threat before commencing their deleterious and perilous actions. The emergence and proliferation of undesirable phenomena often stem from a lack of legal knowledge and self-awareness. Inadequate education and upbringing of the younger generation, particularly youth, can lead to their recruitment into extremist groups. In this context, educated individuals, and especially parents, bear significant responsibility for the moral and intellectual development of the younger generation. Youth engagement is crucial in combating this issue. Terrorism and extremism are widely regarded as profound discredits to contemporary society.
President of the Republic of Tajikistan His Excellency Emomali Rahmon addresses the contemporary affliction of terrorism and extremism with the following remarks: Today, terrorism and extremism, akin to the plague of the century, pose a significant threat to global security and to every individual on the planet. These threats endanger humanity as profoundly as nuclear weapons do. Addressing terrorism and extremism necessitates the establishment of an atmosphere of trust, mutual respect, and the unification of all nations in confronting this shared peril. A terrorist is devoid of homeland, nationality, religion, or sect.
In the context of globalization, countering the proliferation of diverse foreign ideas and opinions necessitates maintaining a stable and logically coherent stance across various domains. The prevention of extremism is crucial for safeguarding national unity, ensuring the stability of the state, and fostering the development of the nation-state.
During challenging periods for any nation or state, core national and state values serve to unify people, citizens, and the nation as a whole. In such pivotal moments, despite prevailing contradictions, national cohesion is upheld. The future we aspire to create is one characterized by enhanced opportunities, security for families, an improved standard of living, and overall stability.
