One of the problems of the modern world is terrorism and extremism. All countries of the world are trying as quickly as possible to find a new way to combat this undesirable phenomenon for society and eradicate it from the root.

Thanks to the wise policy of the Founder of Peace and National Unity, the Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, peace among the Tajiks was restored and lasting, and our state was saved from the terrible danger of destruction. However, even in our time there are individuals, organizations, parties, and movements that want to implement their ideas and goals by any means and through violent actions. Extremism and terrorism are one of the undesirable manifestations of modernity, and the fight against them is the duty of every person. Terrorism, extremism and extremism, like the plague of the century and other undesirable phenomena, pose threats and dangers to the peace and security of the planet and the stability of the state, destroying peace and unity of peoples and nations.

Tajikistan is at the forefront of combating terrorism and extremism in today's world and is making a significant contribution to regional and international security through its stable policies. In 2016, the National Strategy of the Republic of Tajikistan for Countering Extremism and Terrorism was approved by decree of the Founder of National Peace and Unity, the Leader of the Nation, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Honorable Emomali Rakhmon. This strategy defines the main directions of state policy of the Republic of Tajikistan in the direction of countering extremism and terrorism, specifies the responsibilities of state agencies in eliminating the factors contributing to extremism and terrorism, and is one of the stable steps of our country in the direction of preventing these phenomena.
