TBL – ACTIVE LEARNING METHOD FOR STUDENTS
At the department of family medicine, associate professor of the c.m.s. Nosirova M.P., conducted an interactive lesson on the topic of: "Standards for the management of patients with gastric ulcer, functional dyspepsia, chronic gastritis in outpatient settings. Early diagnosis of gastric cancer." There were 16 students in the group, which resulted in three groups of 5-6 students. The topic of the lesson was announced a day earlier so that the students could prepare on their own.
Objective of the lesson: To teach methods of examination and modern aspects of diagnostics, prevention and treatment of patients with peptic ulcer disease, differential diagnostics for functional and organic diseases of the abdominal organs. The teacher prepared individual tests for everyone, and for groups - one situational task according to the topic, one paper and a set of colored markers. 15 minutes were allocated for solving test questions, 60 minutes for situational tasks. While the teacher checked the answers to the test questions, the students in groups familiarized themselves with the task. Then Nosirova M.P. gave explanations on difficult moments of the problem, it is allowed to use literature. During the beginning of the hour-long work of the students, the teacher noted the participants who were less proactive, they were the ones who were appointed to speak and announce the solution to the problem. The work in small groups was met with pleasure by the students, allowed them to solve the problem together, developing clinical thinking, identified leaders in small groups who tried to prepare the speaker, determined the opportunity to interact, At the end of the lesson, a survey of students was conducted, including questions on students' satisfaction with the process of the lesson, the quality of learning the material, the development of clinical thinking and decision-making skills, as well as communication skills.
