CELEBRATION OF MOTHER’S DAY AT THE AVICENNA TAJIK STATE MEDICAL UNIVERSITY
Today, 06.03.2023, in the auditorium "Sino" of the Institute of fundamental medicine of the Avicenna Tajik State Medical University there was held festive gathering with the participation of the administration, team of professors, teachers and students of the university. The rector of the Avicenna Tajik State Medical University, d.m.s., professor professor Gulzoda Mahmadshoh Qurbonali had a good speech at this gathering, congratulating the participants and all our compatriots on Mother's Day and noted on state support for women and love of mothers, referring to the speeches of the Founder of National Peace and Unity - the Leader of the Nation, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Honorable Emomali Rahmon, noted that: "A society that cares about a woman, a Mother, cares about its own future. A state indifferent to a woman-mother, the source of life and survival of the human race, will lose its future".
In the period of independence which is based on the state policy of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan in the direction of state support to women raising their status in the society, important state measures have been implemented step by step. During the years of independence, under the leadership of a visionary and wise Leader, the Founder of peace and national unity - the Leader of the Nation, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, his excellency Emomali Rahmon, many useful measures have been taken to support women and mothers to enhance their status in society, such as attracting more and more talented, professional and enterprising women and girls who applied to the civil service and public administration. Such measures are a reflection of the fact that women's work in public service is always commended.
Rector of University d.m.s., professor Gulzoda Mahmadshoh Qurbonali continued his speech by saying that "Woman-Mother has a special position and place in the culture of civilized Tajiks, and even today Woman-Mother is a basic element of being and sunshine in our independent society, whose purity gives light to life and joy to hearts".
At the ceremonial event devoted to Mother's Day at the Avicenna Tajik State Medical University veterans and active students of the University, who contributed to the education and training of knowledgeable specialists in medical spher, worthy representation of the University and its achievements at national, regional and international level, have been awarded by the rector of the University d.m.s., professor Gulzoda Mahmadshoh Qurbonali with certificates of honor and memorable gifts.
Tajik mothers are some of the most vivacious and hardworking women in the world, because the Republic of Tajikistan provides the best opportunities to support women. The proclamation of March 8 as Mother's Day and the inclusion of requirements and standards of state support for women in the country's legislation are proof of this. Article 17 of the Constitution of the Republic of Tajikistan states: “Men and women have equal rights”. Based on this norm the Committee on work with women and family under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, normative legal documents, including Family Code, Law of the Republic of Tajikistan "On equal rights of men and women and equal opportunities for their realization", Presidential Decree "On improvement of women status in society", establishment of quota for talented girls in remote towns and regions , and number of other instruments are developed, adopted and implemented in the country.
Tajik women and mothers made a valuable contribution to peace, stability and national unity in order to protect their rights and freedoms and stabilize the situation in the country at the beginning of state independence. The role and effective activities of women and mothers in building a sovereign democratic, legal, secular, united and social state and society are very important and valuable. Tajik mothers and women even today have a stable position in society, make a valuable contribution to the development of the state, never forget their creative role in the development of our beloved Motherland. In light of the policy adopted by the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, women and men will achieve even greater success.
The solemn gathering dedicated to Mother's Day at the Avicenna Sino Tajik State Medical University ended with the performance of the cultural program.
