SOCIAL STABILITY UNDER THREAT: TERRORISM AND WAYS TO PREVENT IT
Stability and security of society in any country are the fundamental foundations of its economic, social, and spiritual development. However, in recent decades, new threats — including terrorism and extremism — have endangered the stability of various societies. These dangerous phenomena, through the use of violence, intimidation, and extremist propaganda, attempt to undermine the legal order of states and lead societies toward instability and fragmentation.
The Republic of Tajikistan, as an independent country located in a complex geopolitical region, is not immune to these threats and constantly takes necessary measures to confront them. However, the fight against such threats is not the responsibility of law enforcement agencies alone; it is a nationwide duty and a responsibility of every conscious citizen.
Terrorism is not only an act of violence, but a process driven by political, religious, and ideological goals. In the modern era, terrorist groups use social networks, the internet, and modern technologies to deceive young people and lure them into their traps. These groups impose extremist ideologies and prepare individuals to carry out destructive acts.
The prevention of terrorism must begin at home and in schools. Raising the legal awareness and patriotism of young people is a key factor in resisting extremist ideology. Religion should be taught in its true and tolerant meaning, not with extremist interpretations.
Social networks have turned into tools for recruiting young people into extremist groups. Relevant authorities must cooperate with these networks to promptly detect and prevent extremist propaganda. Fortunately, this practice is expanding in our country.
Strengthening the sense of national pride, respect for traditions, and language can help resist foreign ideologies. Terrorism and extremism must be strictly and legally punished in accordance with the law.
In conclusion, social stability is a priceless blessing that can only be preserved through the cooperation of the state and the people. Terrorism and extremism easily affect indifferent societies. The core of the fight against them is ensuring national security and protecting future generations from the influence of destructive ideologies."
