PREVENTING THE INVOLVEMENT OF YOUNG PEOPLE IN UNDESIRABLE ACTIVITIES

Preventing and combating terrorism and extremism is considered one of the priority areas of the legal policy of the Republic of Tajikistan, and over the years of state independence various normative and legal acts have been adopted and implemented in this regard. The Republic of Tajikistan considers preventing and combating terrorism as the most important task of ensuring its national security and is taking urgent measures to strengthen joint cooperation in this area.

Despite the fact that the Tajik people learned historical lessons about the dangers of terrorism and extremism during the imposed civil war and condemned these negative phenomena of society as "Ahrimanian" actions, the issues of preventing young people from joining illegal parties and movements have not yet been fully resolved.

Extremism comes from the French word "extermisme" and the Latin word "extermus" and its original meaning is extremism, extreme thoughts and actions, extreme stubbornness, extremism is a person who supports extreme and stubborn actions in their activities. Extremism leads a person to commit crimes related to terrorism.

According to most researchers, lawyers, political scientists, journalists, extremism is earlier and more common in the sphere of religion, and this phenomenon is found in all corners of our planet. Especially religious extremism in our time is more noticeable among the followers of Islam, whose missionaries abuse the religious provisions of Islam and act according to the instructions and plans of their masters, who are enemies of this religion.

Thus, despite the fact that the legislation of the Republic of Tajikistan provides for criminal liability in the form of imprisonment for joining terrorist and extremist groups, there are people who accidentally or intentionally commit crimes. Therefore, penalties for extremist crimes should be toughened, and those convicted of these crimes should be placed under special supervision of law enforcement agencies.

Today, the fight against criminals and the involvement of minors and young people in protest organizations is a collective task of all law enforcement agencies and citizens of the country. Neutrality to this undesirable phenomenon seriously hampers the country's further development and threatens national unity, State independence and the country's security.

We - teachers and students, should always make efforts to prevent and combat these manifestations of world problems, terrorism and international extremism, and strive to protect national security. Protecting the sanctity of our beloved Motherland, political intelligence and fighting any undesirable manifestations of society is our life duty.
