On November 20, 2024, first-year students of the Avicenna Tajik State Medical University participated in the seminar titled "Scientific Research: From the First Step to Annotation Submission." Participants were introduced to the ethical foundations of scientific and practical research based on the Helsinki Declaration, the objectives of medical research, and the fundamental principles of conducting scientific studies in medicine.

To ensure timely completion of their academic plans, the seminar participants were provided with a list of documents required for approving their research topics at the interdepartmental problem-commission and for conducting patent searches.

Choosing a research topic is a crucial step that determines the success of the entire project. Therefore, the seminar emphasized steps to assist young researchers in this process. Examples from other research projects were presented to facilitate the selection of topics for future studies.

Given that the relevance of research is one of the key elements demonstrating the necessity and significance of the topic in scientific, social, or practical contexts, the important components and elements of research were explained to participants in detail.

A series of seminars aimed at strengthening the research capacity of the University is planned for the 2024-2025 academic year.
