COOPERATION BETWEEN THE STATE EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTION “AVICENNA TAJIK STATE MEDICAL UNIVERSITY” AND THE FEDERAL STATE BUDGETARY EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTION OF HIGHER EDUCATION “BASHKIR STATE MEDICAL UNIVERSITY”
Over the past three years, strong partnership ties have been established between Avicenna Tajik State Medical University and Bashkir State Medical University of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation in the fields of education, science, and academic mobility of the teaching staff. The cooperation has been developing through the exchange of experience, participation of faculty members and students in joint educational and scientific events, as well as the organization of lectures, seminars, and round tables on current issues in medicine and public health.
A significant milestone in strengthening these partnership relations was the large-scale educational and patriotic event held on April 26, 2025, in the main academic building of Avicenna Tajik State Medical University, organized by Bashkir State Medical University. In lecture hall No. 12, before an audience of more than 120 participants, including senior students, the BSMU delegation delivered presentations. The delegation was headed by Assoc. Prof. Gulnara Chingizova, Executive Secretary of the Admissions Committee and Associate Professor at the Department of General Surgery, Transplantology, and Radiology; Assoc. Prof. Azat Uranovich Kinyabulatov, from the Department of Public Health and Health Organization; and Anna Sidorova, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Russian Language, Linguistics, and International Communication.
The guest lecture, titled “Medical Workers During the Great Patriotic War,” covered a broad historical context and was dedicated to the heroic work of doctors and medical personnel of Bashkortostan during the war years. The presentation highlighted the organizational and clinical aspects of field hospitals, the specifics of medical brigade evacuations to the rear, as well as the development of transfusiology and radiological diagnostics under the extreme conditions of wartime. The material evoked great interest among the students and deepened their understanding of the invaluable contribution of the medical community to the Victory.
As part of the continued development of cooperation in the field of academic mobility, a visit of two professors from the Department of Neurology of Bashkir State Medical University to Avicenna Tajik State Medical University is scheduled for the period from October 27 to November 3, 2025. The visit program includes joint classes, participation in the university’s annual scientific and practical conference, and an exchange of experience in the field of modern neurology.
