MEETING OF THE RECTOR OF THE UNIVERSITY WITH THE DELEGATION OF THE BRITISH COUNCIL IN UZBEKISTAN AND THE CENTRAL ASIA DEPARTMENT
On January 13, 2025, an important and productive meeting took place at the main building of the Tajik State Medical University named after Abu Ali Ibn Sina. The rector of the university, Professor Gulzoda M.K., met with a high-level delegation from the British Council in Uzbekistan and the Central Asia Department. The delegation was represented by the Director of the Council, Mrs. Denise Woddingham, and the British Ambassador to the Republic of Tajikistan, Mrs. Catherine Smitton.
During the meeting, the parties discussed key issues related to strengthening scientific and research cooperation, improving the language proficiency of faculty teaching in English, and the development and implementation of specific projects. These projects are aimed at enhancing the English language proficiency of both faculty and students, as well as expanding opportunities for collaboration with leading scientific and educational institutions in the United Kingdom.
The parties expressed their readiness to strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation and create new platforms for development and progress.
It should be noted that the meeting took place in a very friendly, constructive atmosphere, with a spirit of mutual understanding.
