Introduction and acquisition of practical skills in radiation diagnostic methods for students of the Faculty of Medicine and Prevention in the simulation center
As part of their educational program, faculty from the Department of Radiology at Avicenna Tajik State Medical University organized a visit to the АTSMU Simulation Center with students from the Faculty of Preventive Medicine.
The goal of the event was to introduce future specialists to modern methods of radiation diagnostics and provide them with the opportunity to practice practical skills using advanced medical equipment.
One of the key stages of the lesson was learning how to operate an ultrasound machine. Under the guidance of the faculty, the students mastered the basic principles of ultrasound examination, gained an understanding of the method's potential for early disease diagnosis, and learned to distinguish between key echographic structures.
Practical exercises were particularly interesting: the students were able to independently apply their knowledge, evaluate the resulting images, and ask questions of the faculty. This format reinforced their theoretical knowledge and clearly demonstrated the importance of precision and attention to detail when working with diagnostic equipment.
Visiting the simulation center not only broadened the students' horizons but also increased their motivation to further study radiation diagnostics. In today's medical education environment, such practical training is an essential element in training a new generation of specialists who can confidently utilize advances in science and technology in their future professional activities.
The Department of Radiology plans to continue offering similar classes, strengthening the connection between theory and practice and developing essential clinical competencies in students.
