INFORMATION STRUGGLE: THE MOST CHALLENGING FORM OF INFORMATION CONFLICT

INFORMATION STRUGGLE: THE MOST CHALLENGING FORM OF INFORMATION CONFLICT

The information struggle, as a tool for influencing human consciousness, has led to both societal progress and violent conflicts in some countries. We, the people of Tajikistan, can proudly assert that our press is free. The Constitution of the Republic of Tajikistan grants us the right to freedom of speech. Recognized as one of the world’s best, our Constitution ensures freedom of speech, freedom of the press, and the right to access media. These freedoms, fundamental to media rights, are enshrined in Article 30 of the Constitution, which guarantees these liberties to all citizens.

To prevent discrimination, we, the people of Tajikistan, particularly the youth, must resist the provocations of these channels to preserve the reputation of our nation in contemporary history. Today, we can confidently assert that, thanks to our state independence, all essential legal and organizational foundations have been established to ensure the sustainable development of an independent Tajikistan and the consolidation of national statehood. In his Address to the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan, President Emomali Rahmon emphasized that, within a relatively short period, we have succeeded in enshrining and securing the fundamental principles of a democratic state through the Constitution and other legislative acts. These principles include the secular and social nature of the state, the inviolability of human and civil rights and freedoms, political pluralism, the establishment of a professional parliament, guarantees of justice and equality before the law, and freedom of conscience.

In this context, it is essential for parents, teachers, educators, the older generation, clergy, government officials, and law enforcement officers to foster patriotism, sincerity, humanity, peacefulness, and political awareness in the younger generation, while drawing lessons from the hardships of the 1990s. Each of us must lead by example through our behavior and patriotism, instilling values of humanism, patriotism, kindness, and diligence in the younger generation. It is our collective duty to guide the nation's youth towards the prosperity and advancement of our Motherland.
