"Donation Day" at the University
March 13th and 14th of 2023 year on the initiative of the university administration and paramedics in cooperation with the Medical Center "Republican Scientific Center of Blood" was organized "Donor Day" in the main building of the SEI“Avicenna Tajik State Medical University”. On these donation days, a physiological volume of 350-400 ml of blood was taken from each person.
It should be noted that a total of 276 academic staff of the University, clinical residents, interns and students took an active part as donors and donated blood.
This activity was implemented based on the implementation of plans and activities of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan on October 28, 2020, №568 "National Program to ensure the safety of donor blood and improve the activities of the Blood Service of the Republic of Tajikistan".
Recall that modern medicine has confirmed the beneficial value of blood donation for human health. Also the benefit of blood donation is aimed at the prevention of cardiovascular diseases, and blood donated by donors helps to save the lives of patients who need it.
