Today, 17.03.2023, at the Square of the Educational Complex of the Avicenna Tajik State Medical University with the participation of academic staff and students of the University was held ceremonial event which was dedicated to the International Navruz Holiday. At this meeting the rector of the Avicenna Tajik State Medical University d.m.s., professor Gulzoda Mahmadshoh Qurbonali, who congratulated the participants and all our compatriots with the international holiday of Navruz and spoke about the cultural elements, spiritual, humanitarian and environmental values, the Tajik people, the historical origin and significance of Navruz in our days, efforts of the Founder of peace and national unity - the Leader of the Nation, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Honorable Emomali Rahmon, hinted at the international status of the holiday of Navruz, and based on the speeches of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Honorable Emomali Rahmon noted that: "On the initiative and suggestion of the Founder of peace and national unity, the Leader of the Nation, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, and with the support of the countries of the world, International Navruz is recognized as an international holiday by the UN General Assembly, and is celebrated annually with splendor and grandeur throughout the world. International Navruz holiday has been recognized as a rare achievement of universal culture in the world, and it has become famous in the world for its special humanitarian qualities - kindness and goodness, pride and joy, happiness and victory”.

The pride of the rich and civilized Tajik people is that international Navruz - national holiday, a state holiday and a favorite rite of the Tajiks is celebrated annually in countries around the world with a special sweep. The adoption of Navruz by the international community is considered a unique achievement of the period of independence of the Republic of Tajikistan. Navruz is the most ancient and beautiful folk festival amidst the beautiful nature of the mountains of Tajikistan. Navruz is inseparably connected with water, land, borders and the life-giving and civilized spirit of the Tajik people, and its customs and rites have symbols compatible with the life of the creative, prosperous, cultural and tolerant Tajik people from ancient times until today. Navruz, as a bridge from the bottom of the centuries, connects the dreams and life goals of our ancestors and the noble creative goals of our present and future, and as a holiday heralding a new day, harmonizes the spiritual image, moral character and long-standing traditions of the Tajik people with the highest human values.

Rector of the Avicenna Tajik State Medical University d.m.s., professor Gulzoda Mahmadshoh Qurbonali in his speech noted the outstanding achievements of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon and international initiatives of Tajikistan and noted that: “Tajikistan has been a key country in the world for the last 20 years the popularization of water issues is recognized. At the ceremonial meeting, dedicated to the international Navruz Holiday, the rector of Avicenna Tajik State Medical University d.m.s., professor Gulzoda Makhmadshoh Qurbonali spoke about the importance of international initiatives of Tajikistan in water and climate, the role of the national leader in solving problems, co-chaired by the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rakhmon and King of the Netherlands Mr. Willem Alexander proudly addressed the Second United Nations Water Conference, which will be held on March 22-24 this year at the UN Headquarters in New York.

In light of the global initiatives of the Leader of the Nation his excellency Emomali Rahmon in the water sector, the concept of water diplomacy gradually came to a practical level. This moment proved to the world that the idea of water diplomacy is different from its traditional or classical understanding and requires the introduction of new negotiating technologies, which will contribute to the successful resolution of conflicts on the management and use of water resources of transnational rivers.

At the rally, participants were introduced to the good traditions of Navruz, glorified the Glorious Navruz and Blessed Spring by domestic and foreign scholars who read poetry and prose.

The solemn meeting dedicated to the international holiday of Navruz at the Avicenna Tajik State Medical University ended with the performance of the cultural program.
