Leading the press conference in Avicenna Tajik State Medical University
Today, January 2nd, 2022 was held a press conference on the activities of the Avicenna Tajik State Medical University in 2021 year in the conference hall of the university Administration with the participation of 42 journalists of mass media. At the press conference the rector of the University doctor of medical sciences, professor Gulzoda Mahmadshoh Qurbonali has presented detailed information on activities and achievements of the University in 2021. in the conference was noted that the total number of students at the University are 13,012 persons, of which 11,702 are undergraduate students, 1,310 are postgraduate students and audience. The number of foreign students are 1951 persons from 19 countries, including Canada, USA, Germany, Latvia, Finland, Bangladesh, Tanzania, Malaysia, Portugal, India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Armenia, Turkmenistan, Russian Federation, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbeks are studying at the University too. It was also mentioned that in 2021, 1572 students have graduated the University, including 40 persons with honors, 114 students in accordance with the quotas of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan and 276 foreign students from 6 countries.
At the press conference, the Rector of the University, doctor of medical sciences, professor Gulzoda Mahmadshoh Qurbonali gave accurate analysis and satisfactory answers to journalists' questions on various aspects of the University's activities.
It should be noted that Avicenna Tajik State Medical University is the most prestigious institution of higher education in the Republic of Tajikistan and plays a key role in training highly qualified health professionals and strengthening society health.
