ATSMU annual scientific-practical conference

On November 23, 2018, the 66th annual scientific-practical conference was held at ATSMU, with international participation on the topic "The role and place of innovative technologies in modern medicine", during which the symposium of paediatric surgeons "Surgery of malformations in children" and the Web symposium on Normal Physiology were organized. The conference was devoted to the " Year of tourism and folk crafts development", and it discussed domestic and international experience in the development of innovative technologies in modern medicine.

The conference scientific program covered such topics as: innovative approaches for solving the medicines domestic production development problems in the Republic of Tajikistan, the Centre for Developmental Disorders and Diseases Surgery of Liver, Biliary and Pancreas in Children, total endoprosthetics for diseases of the hip joint in Tajikistan, changing expression of neuropeptides in the cervico-thoracic nodes during ontogenesis, the evaluation of medical education, as well as current ATSMU trends and prospects of higher medical education, Tutorial Erasmus+ project activities “Strengthening the Asian network on education, research and innovation in the field of environmental hygiene” and the effective implementation of innovative technologies in practical and theoretical medicine. In addition, the topic of paediatric surgeons’ symposium included actual innovative development problems of surgical diseases’ diagnosis and treatment in children. Issues such as modern study approaches to the health of workers in various fields of activity, the erythrocytes cytoarchitecture assessment and the effect of infrasound on human health were discussed, at the international Web-Symposium on normal physiology.

Many specialists from 15 foreign countries (Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, USA, Germany, Italy, France, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Slovakia, India, Estonia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Armenia) took part in the conference.

Conference opening ceremony welcoming speech was delivered by: Avicenna Tajik State Medical University rector, professor M.K. Gulzoda, Deputy Minister of Health and Social Protection of the Republic of Tajikistan M. Kamolzoda, Head of Tajikistan Higher Professional and Postgraduate Education Office N Khaidarov. Conference guests also delivered their welcoming speech: Professor of University of Milan in Italy, head of ERAZMUS + Development Fund Gert van der Laan, Vice-rector for International Relations of Belarusian State Medical University, Ph.D., Professor V.V. Rudenok (Minsk), Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Head of the Department of Paediatric Surgery of the Russian National Research Medical University named after N.I. Pirogov, Professor A.Y. Razumovsky (Moscow, Russia), President of the Republican Scientific and Practical Centre for Minimally Invasive and Endovisual Surgery of Children, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Sh.T. Salimov (Tashkent, Uzbekistan), Professor at the National Medical University of Kazakhstan named after. S.D. Asfendiyarova E.K. Mukhamedzhanov (Almaty, Kazakhstan), international consultant of the Medical Education Reform Project in the Republic of Tajikistan, Professor Renato Galeations (Switzerland), and Professor at Vivekananda University, Ramakrishna Mission - Pranab Nag (Delhi, India).

At the plenary meeting were made scientific reports by: Vice-Rector for Science and Publishing of ATSMU Academician of the Academy of Medical Sciences of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Tajikistan, Doctor of Philosophy, Professor S. J. Yusufi on the topic: "An innovative approach for solving the domestic production development problems of medicines in the Republic of Tajikistan", the head of the Children Surgery Department of RNRMU named after N.I. Pirogov, Professor, Corresponding Member of RAS A.Y. Razumovsky on the topic: "On the work of the centre for surgery of malformations and diseases of the liver, biliary tract and pancreas," Professor at the Traumatology Department at the Avicenna Tajik State Medical University, S.Kh. Kurbanov, Professor V.V. Rudenok on the topic: “Changes in the expression of neuropeptides in human cervical-thoracic nodes in ontogenesis”, Poul Smits (Germany), a representative of the Foundation for Training and Development of Educational Health (Germany) on the topic: “Evaluation of Medical Education”, Professor at the University of Milan, head of Erasmus + ” Gert Van der Laan (Italy) on the topic:“ Activities of the Tutorial Erasmus + Project “Strengthening the Asian Network on Education, Research and Innovations in the Field of Environmental Hygiene”.

216 reports of leading scientists from Tajikistan, Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, India, Switzerland, Germany, the Netherlands, Italy were heard, including 6 reports in the plenary session and 210 reports in 12 sections.

The conference materials were published in two volumes in a collection form - 837 scientific papers, including 216 foreign works.

At the end of the conference, a resolution was adopted, summarizing the generalization of domestic and international experiences in the development of innovative technologies in modern medicine.

The conference was accompanied by ATSMU Scientific Library exhibitions, and pharmaceutical companies, which annually demonstrate their medicinal products.
