Today, 06.06.2022 Avicenna Tajik State Medical University held a solemn meeting dedicated to the end of 2021-2022 academic year and graduation of foreign students. It was attended and have spoken by high-ranking guests - ambassadors and representatives from India, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, the Russian Federation and the Council of the University, teachers and graduates and a number of other guests. Rector of the University, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Gulzoda Mahmadshoh Qurbonali spoke at the event, who emphasized: "One of the important activities of the Avicenna Tajik State Medical University is the creation of favorable conditions for effective training of foreigner students. Fortunately, with the support of the state and the government of Tajikistan, significant progress has been made in this direction in recent years.
In the academic year 2021-2022 , Avicenna Tajik State Medical University successfully recruited 356 international students from 9 countries, including India, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, Pakistan, and the Russian Federation. International students have spent six years at the University, learning knowledge, science, skills, and professional nuances, and in addition to being students of the University, they are also very honored guests.
Rector of the Avicenna Tajik State Medical University, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Gulzoda Mahmadshoh Qurbonali, in his speech encouraged the graduates to work fruitfully, dedication to the glorious medical profession, noting, "Each of you today can be proud of the fact that you have chosen such a painstaking, but noble and at the same time necessary for society - the protection of life and health of the people. A very bright future awaits you. But we must not forget that graduation is only the beginning. Medical science was a glorious and valuable profession for our ancestors, it gave birth to such world personalities as Muhammad Zakariya Razi, Abu Ali ibn Sino and others, great people have made significant contributions to world medicine, their valuable legacy and treatment methods have been studied and studied for hundreds of years in different countries of the world.
Over the past five years alone, Avicenna Tajik State Medical University has signed 67 cooperation agreements with medical and scientific educational institutions and foreign organizations. That is why the number of foreign students at the university is increasing year by year. Today 1977 students from 20 countries of the world study at the Avicenna Tajik State Medical University, all of them are provided with decent living conditions and training in the appropriate language. In 2021-2022 academic year 356 out of 1874 graduates of the University are citizens of foreign countries.
It should be noted that the University employees have international qualifications and degrees, the educational programs of the University are fully accredited, correspond to the requirements of the World Federation for Medical Education and have a certificate of conformity.
