Independence is a great and sacred value for every nation. For the people of Tajikistan, gaining independence became one of the most important historical events and marked the beginning of a new stage in the development of statehood. After 35 years since the declaration of independence, it is possible to proudly analyze the country’s achievements and progress. The state independence of the Republic of Tajikistan was declared on September 9, 1991. This event gave the Tajik people the opportunity to choose their own political, economic, and cultural path of development. In the early years of independence, the country faced many challenges, including civil war and economic crisis. Despite this, through effort, hard work, and national unity, Tajikistan managed to restore peace and stability. Over 35 years of independence, Tajikistan has achieved significant successes in various fields. In particular, the development of infrastructure, construction of roads, power plants, schools, and hospitals contributed to improving the standard of living of the population. The fields of education and science also developed, and opportunities for young people to receive education expanded. One of the most important achievements of the independence period is the strengthening of national unity. Unity serves as a key factor of political stability and economic progress. The people of Tajikistan, with a sense of patriotism and self-awareness, contribute to the prosperity of their homeland. Alongside achievements, there are still unresolved issues. Sustainable economic development, job creation, environmental protection, and improving living standards remain important goals of the state. It is noteworthy that the 35th anniversary of independence is an important historical milestone for Tajikistan. This celebration is not only a symbol of freedom and independence, but also a sign of progress and hope for a bright future.
