MY HEALTH IS MY RIGHT!

Health is the highest value of life. Nothing can compare to it - neither wealth, nor position in society, nor fame. World Health Day is celebrated every year on April 7. This date was chosen in honor of the day of creation of the World Health Organization in 1948. The annual celebration of the Health Day has been a tradition since 1950. World Health Day annually raises issues that affect all of humanity and directly affect our lives, to increase people's interest in their health and longevity.

The topic of World Health Day 2024 is "My Health is My Right". The aim of the theme is not only to promote the right of every person to quality health care, decent working conditions, quality housing, nutrition and a favorable environmental situation, but also to educate and obtain reliable, science-based information about protecting one's health.

Health, as a value, originally belongs to the person and is regulated by him/her, regardless of whether he/she realizes his/her controlling role or not. Therefore, it is necessary to include the person in the management circuit as an equal partner at all stages of the health management process.

The task of our state is to raise healthy children and prolong the life of its citizens. Today, the issues of preserving and strengthening people's health in our country are given special attention and are rightfully included in the priority list. Health is the main value in life, which can be maintained by following a healthy lifestyle. We should take care of our health from an early age. Health allows us to realize our full intellectual, physical, reproductive, moral and spiritual potential. The health of each person forms a healthy strong nation. A person's health, first of all, depends on him/herself. Timely prevention, healthy lifestyle, responsible attitude to oneself and others, choice of goods and services that are not harmful to health and the environment are necessary conditions for maintaining health, preventing many diseases and longevity. Healthy lifestyle is a way of life of a person aimed at preventing diseases, preserving, improving and strengthening health. We should take an active life position ourselves - adhere to a rational daily regimen, eat a balanced diet, observe appropriate motor activity, regularly perform hardening procedures, get rid of bad habits.

The main components of health, according to WHO recommendations:

· Regular physical activity. Walking in the fresh air, bicycling, and playing games will benefit people of all ages. Gymnastics, fitness or light jogging will bring undeniable benefit, even if you do only 15-20 minutes a day. The main thing is the system! Therefore, a systematic and regular approach is important.

· Optimal work/rest balance and adequate sleep. Properly organize the alternation of these three components. Neglecting this rule leads to fatigue, irritability, decreased defense functions of the body. Normal sleep is especially important. It is recommended to sleep at least 8 hours a day, to go to bed at approximately the same hours, to air the room before going to bed and not to go to bed immediately after dinner.

· Rational nutrition. Eat more fruits and vegetables, whole-grain cereals, lean meats, dried fruits, nuts. Limit the consumption of salt, sugar, fatty meats. Steam, stew, bake products when cooking. Do not overeat, eat foods containing vitamins and trace elements according to age requirements. Отказ от вредных привычек - курения и злоупотребления алкоголем.

· Avoid stress and take care of yourself from psycho-emotional strain. Engage in activities that bring joy and mental satisfaction. This will slow down ageing processes, keep you active and in good spirits.

·  Be medically active! Visit your doctor in a timely manner, undergo preventive medical examinations, and get immunized.

Our health is priceless and cannot be bought for any money. Make every effort to work on yourself, discover the interesting possibilities of a healthy life!
